Anyone else just un-easy and borderline nauseous all day?
I am 2 years in IB and thought these feelings I had as a summer analyst would eventually dissapear. I assume this is just a product of stress / anxiety.
The second I wake up, to the second I go to bed, I literally just feel uneasy and nauseous all day. I just do not feel good. My stomache feels bad, I feel weak and kind of lightheaded, etc. I really thought just with more time the stress would go away and I would get used to things, but 2 years in I am still like this.
Anyone else feel like this?
Not to be that guy but I think you should consult a doctor or switch careers. Doesn't sound healthy living like this for several years - priority is your health not some gig, and there are plenty out there with less stress and more healthy hours (although less pay). no reason to make mills if you gonna die before you get to use it. Stay healthy and best of luck
This was me a year ago. Nauseous, fainting randomly, nosebleeds and having immune flareups. Wasn't even doing 90, more like 70 hours but my body was giving out. Left the job and my health is better. Def check with your GP tho. You'd be surprised at how stress presents itself. Hope you feel better
Yea, I've had periods of time feeling like this. Really need to make a conscious effort to eat clean / take a multi vitamin to solve for whatever you may be deficient in and prioritize a 30/45 min workout daily if possible. Also, would suggest getting your blood work done so you can see what deficiencies you may have and solve for that. After I really prioritized my diet, reduced my drinking, was very intentional about working out (esp after drinking need to sweat out the booze), and started taking supplements to solve for my own deficiencies I felt amazing. Took about a month for my body to recover. Also echo above. No job is worth your health. Would suggest trying these steps first and if you do not see improvement then I would seriously considering a career change.
I would defiantly get into a routine of going to your Primary Care Physician and getting blood work done, along with urine tests to test your kidney functions. I think this is your body starting to break down. Like all the other comments here, no job is worth crushing your bodies nervous system. If I were a friend or relative I'd nudge you to consider another career, IB (and other FO roles) are not worth feeling like this. You're setting your body up for failure when you're older.
If frequent nosebleeds occur due to stimulants, other substances, and caffeine, what steps should be taken? Additionally, how can one access in-house physician or medical support 24/7? Thanks.
Brother, cut the stims out in your life or you'll be the next analyst that passes away on the desk. If you want 24/7 medical support, sign up for concierge health, certain hospitals offer that but there are private practices that also do it.
I’d say get some bloodwork done, you might be deficient/have too much of something in your system. I’d definitely do that before trying to switch careers
