Anyone else receive reduced salary / benefits due to COVID-19?
Did not think that this was likely to happen for at least another few months but we got the call this afternoon. Not going into specifics. Has this been happening to people at other firms? How worried are you that shit will really be hitting the fan if we continue to shut down the economy?
Bump
While I'm not on salary, at my icoming SA internship they cancelled the hourly wage in exchange for a weekly stipend with the possibility of cutting the stipend all together. Small MM boutique in NY. Foregone pay is ~$6500.
damn sorry to hear that. did they adjust the program at all or just the pay?
Yeah my company did a mass reduction of salary to all employees. Ranging from 5-15% for Q2.
Would not be surprised if I get laid off on Wednesday either.
what industry/role and what size company if you don’t mind me asking
Our entire c level staff are considering reducing their salaries voluntarily. they normally do this before layoffs start.
I can't believe that some governors such as Ralph Northam are considering shutting down everything until mid-June. At some point I think people need to realize that people aren't going to care anymore if they've been unemployed for months.
Dude, people are dying
Which firm and location?
