Anyone move from IB to a completely different role and have no regrets?

I’m talking about non traditional IB exit like CB, sales, mid office, consulting etc. With or without a pay cut.

After a year and a half in BB IB, I’m feeling more confused than ever. While loving the work I do, the hours have been completely crushing me from day 100. I pulled it through and managed to perform well and get good feedback but I have been suffering for a very long time. I don’t think PE is the right thing for me (same hours. More stressful). Not many corp Dev opportunities out there. I’ve been looking at other non traditional IB exit like CB, mid office, sales etc where the pay will still be good but the hours would be so much better (key here is not necessarily shorter hours but flexibility) but I’m worried about entering a completely different career path since I do love what I do now.

Has anyone moved to a completely different role from IB and have no regrets since?
