Anyone Trade as a Side Hustle?
Wondering if anyone on the forum does some trading as a side hustle and can shed some light on it. Interested to hear their account/trade sizes, daily profit, how they got started and resources they used to learn their preferred strategy.

You are simply not permitted to do this in any front office finance role that deals remotely with markets
Are you allowed to passively invest in index funds? What about in individual stocks?
Yes you can passively invest. Normally you have to have trades cleared through compliance which makes actively trading very difficult (holding periods, etc).
Get a RIA. Then tell him the names you want. It's that simple.
Also, ETFs are usually permitted. Plenty of juice out there to squeeze by using options.
Short ARKK puts. 20 delta puts offer +15% return on capital.
This is illegal and that is not a good trade.
In a totally unrelated note, I had two meetings with attorneys from ethics over the summer. Not worth trying to get around the rules - code of ethics and MNPI shit will get you, and those legal people are hard asses at BBs with a lot from H/Y law with exp at Cravath's or Kirkland Ellis.
Over the summer, I had around a dozens trade requests which were all rejected by compliance. All were in FIG or with large exposure to asset management. It sucks that you can't trade your coverage sector, but I get with all the MNPI it is needed.
^Part two of this is the message this is in reply to.
There is no MNPI in an ETF.
Plus the ARKK trade is a solid trade. A guy in RE wouldn't know the first thing about an equities option trade.
