Applying to smaller/niche/MM/boutique investment banks
Applying for FT investment banking jobs here and hoping for advice! I'm a senior at a top school with a mediocre (not great, not awful) GPA, and no previous finance experience. Business experience, yes, and I'm spinning it in every possible way I can.
I'd really like to cast my net as wide as possible, but the BB's aren't really posting positions, and I've already submitted an application through my university careers website to Lazard, Moelis, Greenhill, Gleacher, Centerview, Evercore, and William Blair.
Where else can I apply? While I'd love to go to a top firm, I'd also like to be realistic about my lack of banking internship-- but I don't even know what the next tier is, or which banks are hiring except for the ones that post through our careers website. I'm also fine with exploring options outside of the US, but am not fluent in another language.
Would also really appreciate some advice on cold-emailing/using LinkedIn. I'm pretty awful at networking, and don't really know what to say/ask for when reaching out to people that I didn't meet at an info session.
Thanks to anyone that can help!

Where else can you apply? You pretty much only listed elite boutiques. There are hundreds of firms in the company database here on wso, as well as searching Indeed.com and the like. Just call and ask about recruiting, it's the easiest way to be productive and get immediate feedback.
