Are Hirevues really reviewed by HR ?

Hi everyone,

Just went through the Hirevue process for off cycles at JP and GS. They are saying in videos / on website that HR are reviewing all the videos but I thought that it was all about algorithm and that's it. Does anyone know something about that ?

Thanks

Did you really think that they would write "Your 3 minute video recording is assessed by an AI-based algorithm that takes into account a mix of your lighting, video positioning, speaking clarity"? Obviously not. If you know anything about HR, it should be how lazy they are. I sometimes ask them a question regarding application timelines for candidates whom I'd like to refer and it takes them 2-3 days to reply to my email.. If you think they will sit down and go through hundreds of dumbass 3 minute video recordings, you are in for a rude awakening buddy.

Yes I know about their laziness but they were so insisting on "no algorithm thing" etc that it made me doubt. Appreciate your honesty though ahah

The firm I’m currently working at has Hirevues reviewed by the hiring manager to decide who he wants in interviews.

Hirevues are asked only for candidates who got whitelisted by HR, so a different process than companies who ask everyone to record one.
