Believe it's against the law to DISCRIMINATE based on THC use, not against the law to test for it.

I would strongly steer away from providing advice like that - not that your friend is going to sue you if he falls afoul of testing but you just don't want to take any responsibility. Think you're best off saying 'what I've heard is that they generally do not test anymore and that it's against the law to discriminate solely on the basis of a positive test, but you make your own decisions'
I don’t think so. All internship and full time roles I worked in NYC did not test. Pretty sure Goldman started the trend. I’m talking about 2017-2020
