Associate tips

Hi there - will be joining a MM coverage team as a 1st year Associate. I’m coming from a non traditional background (credit research). Clearly have a learning curve in respect to the actual work, but also in managing analysts. I’m used to being the most junior and doing all the work.

I’d love to hear tips from analysts, associates and those more senior - what are some good tips to being a solid associate? Don’t want to be a dick to analysts, not interested in being a shot associate that dumps everything on them. Of course, I want to perform and have good analysis / decks prepared.
