AITA for reporting my MD to police
Previously worked at a top tier BB. Reported my MD to the police on the suspicion of tax evasion. Police forwarded the case to the customs office who took up the case and opened criminal proceedings. Sent email evidence to police where my MD talked openly about smuggling goods across borders. I also sent an anonymous email to my MD's boss's boss and some other very senior people.
Don't expose yourself to others thinking you can get away with it.

This sounds more like you were fired and are doing this as revenge. He will probably just get fined, if anything. On the other side of it though he will figure out it was you that reported him during discovery.
Either way, reporting your MD for not declaring a luxury item to customs while traveling abroad is actually wild. While you’re at it you should report your fellow analysts to the bank for expensing something they shouldn’t have.
