Audit to Big 4 FDD to IB? Please help with decision.

Hi all,

my dream is to break into banking as an analyst. I was a high performer in big 4 audit but making the move to FDD shortly. I have a couple questions:

1) Does FDD firm name matter? Such as KPMG Deals vs. EY SaT vs. Deloitte M&A?

2) when would be the best time to jump into banking as an FDD professional?

much appreciated for your all of your time!

I want to break into IB for the more interesting work and compensation compared to Big 4. I know I can put in the long hours, so why not shoot for something that compensates it more adequately than what I'm getting currently? I'm curious how come you don't want to break into IB, and are you still in FDD?
