Auto rejection after online assessment. I'm so frustrated

So this happened yesterday. I did the online assessment for a bank for IBD and literally immediately after I got done I received an email saying they "have carefully reviewed" my application but I'm not progressing afterwards. The assessment was a prerequisite to screening. So they didn't review the application.

This is what the results are saying:

Situation judgement: Your responses to this assessment suggest, that compared to others, your behavioural strengths are aligned to this business unit. This means that you are more likely than others to enjoy the challenges you would face and respond to situations in a way that leads to success in this role.

Logical reasoning: Your performance score suggests that you performed in line with the requirements for the specific role you applied to.

Numerical reasoning: Your performance score suggests that you performed well above the requirements for the specific role you applied to. Numerical reasoning is one of your key strengths.

This is like my 300th rejection so I'm completely numb. But I'm just curious, how does their system work? It's hardly possible any human had taken a look at the application. Are these results really that disqualifying?

From what I understand about these type of online assessments if you score to high or low on the "bell curve" you are auto dinged. Please take this with a grain of salt because I received this information anecdotally but my friend in recruiting said if you score to high it shows you may have a personality that is more likely to get restless and/or feel unsatisfied with the work and obviously if you score to low you with struggle with the work. Long story short they are looking for folks who score in the middle of the curve, they have the ability to do the work and will be satisfied/ not look to jump to the next opportunity.

This is weird. I heard from other people that they’re looking for “well above” in all tests.
