Available Summer 2018 Internship Opportunities

Hello everyone:

I would just like to know if anyone is aware of any available summer 2018 intern opportunities at any banks. I am aware all of the bulge bracket banks have filled their 2018 internship pool, but how about firms that focus on small and mid cap companies?

I'd recommend this 1) Start with a target city in mind 2) Find a full list of banks in that city (Literally go down that list and talk to as many people as you can) 3) Use LinkedIn to find their employees 4) Start networking and cold emailing explaining what you're looking for. 5) An unpaid internship looks the exact same as a paid internship on a resume

If you find someone willing to give you an internship, there's a good chance they'll throw you an hourly wage although unpaid is a possibility. Do you have any friends in any of the cities you want to be? If not, you don't have to be in NYC; there are other cities that have an IB presence and are MUCH cheaper to live in. How far away is the closest boutique from your school or where your hometown is?

If it were me I'd a loan and consider it part of my education.

When it comes time to get a FT analyst position having an internship is as important as any other part of your resume.

Ultimately, how badly do you want to be in IB?
