Bad GPA at Canadian Target: Am I Cooked for Toronto IB

I’m an incoming sophomore at Western in Honours Specialization Economics with Ivey AEO. I had some personal issues happen right before exams this year that seriously affected my performance during finals. After first semester I was sitting at around a 3.92 GPA / 92%, but I ended up finishing first year with roughly a 3.41 GPA / 82%.

I’m confident I can get my grades back up next year, but I’m worried about how much this hurts my chances for Toronto IB recruiting.

For context, I’ve had 4 instances of prior work experience:

Realistically, how bad is this for Toronto IB recruiting from Ivey? Is this still recoverable if I show a strong upward trend in second year?

Take some extra online courses during the summer to boost gpa & dont slack off in ur upcoming semester

Look into CR/NCR petition as well if your situation allows (no clue how it works at Western)

Also 82% is a 3.7 convert using OLSAS which is what everyone uses
