Bankers are FRUSTRATING

When network with bankers, they always tell me to call them at a certain time. And then they don't pick up/forward it to an automatic message or rearrange it to another time. This is so annoying. I've spent so much time contacting them, waiting them to call back. A great way to kill time. Out of everything I need to do to break in, I hate this the most.

I think this happens with any busy professional. Just stick with it, the people who don't break into banking are the ones who give up and don't keep calling and emailing. War of attrition.

I cannot agree more. Perseverance is key.

Agree with ideating. If you ever work in banking, you'll know why this happens. It's not personal - these guys literally have a million things to get done all the time.

I know its reasonable. I don't blame them for it. FYI, I worked in IBD. I know what its like. I know how our next day schedule can be expected to be X and turn out to be Y.

I'm just saying that networking with bankers are frustrating.
