Banks rescinding intern offers

I know that this is likely just my anxiety talking, but I'm becoming increasingly worried about my offer getting rescinded. For context, I'll be interning at an EB next summer. My parents keep getting in my head about how it seems too good to be true to have an offer this far in advance, etc etc. They don't work in finance, so they might not understand, but still. Different industry, I know, but Tesla rescinding some of their internship offers just weeks before they were supposed to start is an absolute horror story.

Would be curious to know if anything similar has occurred in finance in the past?

Can you provide some more details? Like how long before the internship was supposed to start did they rescind it? Also was there a good reason or was it fully random?

3 weeks before lol. It was pretty brutal. But I wouldn’t worry about it because there’s literally nothing I could have done or you could do to avoid it in most cases.

Reason was absolute BS - nothing to do with me. Can’t go into specifics

Sorry man that sucks. Hopefully you were able to find something else with such little time..

Was it a BB, EB, or MM? I know you probably cant say which bank, but just curious.
