Banks with lenient summer sessions

Does any one know which banks,(BB/MM/Boutique), besides lehman have lenient schedules for summer analysts? I'll be studying abroad until June 29th, so I need to apply to banks that will let me start working when I get back. Im interested in S&T.

no shot anywhere. they have hundreds of kids clamoring for each spot, many willing to work for free. don't go abroad or get another job because no S&T internship will allow that amount of lenience. 4 weeks late to a 10 week stint. some will let you go somewhere for possibly a couple of days if you have to, but nobody will hire you knowing you cant work for the first 4 weeks. not to mention how are you going to interview? the interviews take place in february, which im assuming means you'll already be abroad.

The first thing that you need to do is make sure to land some accelerated interviews before you go abraod. I went abroad last spring, and although not all the banks have "formal" accelerated interview processes, I know that all the BB's do interview candidates before they go abroad, usually in middle to late December. If you go to a target school, I would contact the HR people / alumni in charge of recruiting for that firm at your school and let them know about your situation. If you don't go to a target school, it will be harder, but it's definitely possible. You have to start contacting recruiters, alumni, and other contacts ASAP and really push for them to interview you. If you wait until February to interview and you're abroad, you're going to have to pay for flights back to the US on a whim, which sucks.

Lehman is the only firm that I know which has two different sessions for summer interns. You would be able to do summer session 2 there, which I believe starts in July. Closer121 is right in saying that you're not going to have a shot anywhere else if you assume that you can start on June 29th. Every other BB has about a 10-week program that starts in late May / early June and would not take on an intern who's going to miss a month of work. You can't miss more than a few days, maximum. I was in a fortunate situation since my program ended in late May. However, I do know of some kids who were in similar situations to you and they were able to take their exams early or do take-home exams. You might want to check with your school if you could this in advance.

Hope this helps.
