Banks/Groups With Gym Friendly Culture?

From reading many posts on here, it sounds like there are quite a few former athletes on Wall Street. If this is true, I feel like there has to be some groups that place high priority on gym time. Any athlete will understand that its nearly impossible to just stop working out on a consistent basis. With this being said, are there any banks or groups that are specifically known to have gym friendly cultures. Also, do banks look highly upon former athletes? I've read that some private equity firms like to hire physically fit people/former athletes.

Wishful thinking bud. Gym times comes when you're waiting for turns. But with saying that, there are many groups that belong to the same gym and work out at the same time. It's not a group by group or bank by bank thing. Moreso people in the group have downtown at the same time and go to the same gym across the street whether it be equinox or some class. Do you mean "Grade A Wanker" as in a massive douchebag asshole?

Whenever you can sneak in 20-30 minutes. Think about it... no bank is going to actively stop you from going to the gym - they're not all that sadistic.

Also it's investment banking, not digital media marketing or whatever so no, 1-1.5hr workouts probably arent feasible

yeah,

maybe I didnt phrase that right. i guess i am a little unfamiliar with when in the interview process you know what group your looking at and can start asking these "tie breaker" type questions.

Sometimes its really easy to tell just by looking at what the people in different groups look like. If they are all skinny and look like they are in good shape, chances are they work out.

i really didn't want to post - but... if you're asking will you be able to gym (and gym regularly) if you get an offer, then sure.

if you're trying to find out which groups have more people who go to the gym, to shape where you're trying to go, then you're really missing the big picture.

anyways, there are people who gym regularly, but i don't know how one would be working from 9-2 or later, and still gyming regularly. and no, 1-1.5 hour disappearances aren't normal but sub 1 hour (or whenever you get an email / called) is fine.
