Barclays & Lazazrd Chicago? Thoughts on Deal flow, comps, exit?

Title says it -- would love to know how these companies prep its analysts for PE recruiting! I'd love to hear everyone's take on this.

Does anyone know roughly how large respective analyst classes are at each place? And if most of the analysts who leave go to Chicago places, or leave for NYC?

Most analysts don’t go to nyc. The ones who wanna stay in Chicago stay. Have seen a few go to nyc from Chicago banks and a few more go to sf. Then the remaining few scattered around the country (texas, Miami, Boston, la). As for class sizes I think for Barclays, I don’t remember too well it was like ~ 6 analysts, give or take 1/2
