BB Analysts that joined FT in 2008/2009
Any users on here that joined a BB within IB/M&A that can share their experiences joining FT during the peak of 2008/2009? Lot of threads on it previously, but seems to be speculation rather than actual stories. I'd be interested to hear how deal flow took a hit and whether layoffs in IB were actually that rampant.
Seems like even in a recession, yeah short-term deal flow drops, but firms would likely need to access cap markets at some point to ensure capital availability or create growth through acquisitions in low growth times.
