BB background check- what do they ask about employment history?

Does anyone know what specifically the big 3 (JPM, MS, GS) asks about employment history? Do they ask you to list last 5 years or last 2 employers or what? I didn't lie but my last internship was terminated and I want to know if there's any way to avoid them finding this out.

Yes they can ask but most places just verify your start and end date. That's what I've read at least.
