BB Capital Markets or MM IB
Title - got offers from mid level BB for capital markets and an IB offer at a solid MM. What should I choose, is the bigger name worth it for a harder time finding exits?

You should really ask urself do u want to do coverage/M&A or capital markets.
Bulge. No brainer.
Is there any reasoning behind this? Purely from a prestige standpoint?
Depends on what is housed in capital markets - I know there is one bank that houses everything from Muni's to M&A under capital markets.
Just the traditional ECM/DCM/LevFin
Depends on the MM and what you want to do - would argue coverage at a place like Blair will have better PE exits than a BB DCM group
What's your goal? Cap markets is a decent place to hang out longer term, but exits directly from there besides lateral are going to be pretty slim. If you want UMM+ PE, I'd do the MM IB and look to lateral at 8-12 months if you don't like your PE options.
You'll be able to lateral into BB coverage IB from either
Probably want to do traditional banking > PE route, any insight into internal laterals?
