As a MM banker, most of our deal teams are relatively standard with an MD, (maybe a director), VP, associate and analyst. Obviously for bigger deals we may bring an extra person or two onto the team, but genuinely curious for what the size of a deal team would be for a BB doing a sell-side M&A transaction for billions of dollars?

Size of the transaction does t matter that much. It’s the exact same work. Between product (m&a) + coverage it can be 10+ folks. Buyside is even bigger with levfin m/a abd coverage
