Best background for MF Real Estate PE Exits?
If interested in exiting to a real estate group at a MF (BX, Brookfield, Carlyle, TPG, Apollo, etc etc) in an acquisitions role, what is the best experience you could have? My assumption would be REGAL group at a BB but please let me know otherwise (from looking on LinkedIn, this seems to be the case). Would someone coming from an M&A group be just as well regarded as someone coming from a REGAL group?
Also, is the recruiting process and timeline the same for real estate PE as it is for generalist PE?
