That might be the worst list I've ever seen. You think Jefferies is stealing deals from MS / GS / JPM? You've named a few great boutiques that would be good in any environment, but the whole thing is just idiotic.
In terms of these economic conditions, if you define the best INVESTMENT BANKS as the busiest the most prestigious in terms of restructuring- Lazard & HLHZ (Blackstone surpasses both, but I'm sure that's implied). Investment banks don't exist anymore...they're all bank holding companies. lol.
Could we ban this kind of pointless topics. The best bank is the one you work for, the rest are shit. otherwise you fucked up somewhere.

MS/GS/JPM AREN'T doing deals right now.... There are no deals at the BB size.... much more going on in the MM(tho still much slower than usual) and restructuring spaces

I agree with monkeyd00d. There is very little to no activity at the large cap level. All of the activity is in the middle market. A lot more job security as well, not that everyone is safe or getting paid full bonuses by any stretch of the imagination.
