Best cities for high growth tech?

Outside of the Bay Area being #1, where do the rest of the primary market cities rank in terms of overall quantity/abundance of high-growth (pre later-stage VC or growth equity) tech companies (HQ location)?

Subjective ranking 2-5:

2. NYC

3. Boston

4. Chicago

5. (Maybe a southern market like Atlanta or Dallas?)

Would love to hear others' thoughts...

Does it depend on the type of tech? Like I know Chicago may have a bit of a medical device ecosystem. Maybe Austin has a renewable energy vibe
