Best degrees for IB ?

Greetings to all. (In regards to Investment banking)

This is my first post here so forgive my ignorance and any future facepalming that may arise.

I know this question has been milked and beaten to death;however, would a major in Finance and a minor in software engineering be of any relevance or attraction to IB recruiters ?

Or is my safe bet sticking with a major in finance and minor in accounting ?

In addition to the question above would a vice versa major/minor be of any order of importance ?

Thank you in advance.

Art history, gender studies and music/art therapy.

But for real though, minors don't matter. Just stick with the finance degree, get a high GPA, get a good internship, do well there and the rest should take care of itself.

"That was basically college for me, just ya know, fuckin' tourin' with Widespread Panic over the USA."

So what you're implying is i could randomly choose the minor as i please and it doesn't necessarily have to correspond with my major as long as i just get a good GPA and do internship ?

Thanks.

Seeing as you put (in regard to investing banking) in your actual post.. I would say maybe a BA in Bro Studies is in order.

what school is this? I've never heard of a degree in "Corporate and investment banking". Honestly, your school's reputation is most important - better be a history/poli sci major at Dartmouth than an econ major at a random Top 50 college.

Finance... Is this even a question. And fuck school rep, u can go to the worst school as long as its not online. Its about what you can do, not where you come from
