JPM and CVP Are the top. GS MS EVR LAZ PWP also strong
PWP is only good for medical devices.
Agree they’re weaker in other verticals, but they are probably the best in Medtech to be fair.
CVP has dominated healthcare for a while - in a league of their own with JPM next up
Yep especially in biotech. PWP just to add color is really strong specifically in Medtech. Probably the best practice on the street alongside GS, weaker in other areas.
Agree, saw that CVP is advising on the Mirati Acquisition just announced for 5.8bn
I’m currently in HC as a 2nd year associate. How does one lateral to CVP or the other top HC groups? I have a ton of experience with live deals and have been basically doing VP responsibilities since last year.
From what I have heard any layerals are purely off of networking
Just here to say I always love someone predictably throwing PWP in a mix for HC for only doing med device deals (and barely had any hits in pharma or services despite the hires in recent years). Med device is also a very consolidated, mature sector that suffers from lack of large cap M&A like pharma, sub $5bn or sponsor volume like services or IPOs. It’s like the most meh of healthcare.
