Evercore Houston office

Hello, Im curious about some names of the best energy bankers who have worked or are currently still working in Evercore's Houston office. I heard since 2012 they have arguably been the best energy group around but especially in Houston. I heard they have some of the best Senior MDs and that the Latam guy that used to be there was one of the best if not the best.

I wouldn't say they've ever been the best, but were very strong. Pacha is a legend but Jefferies ate their lunch in the upstream / midstream A&D wave.

Lol this is a joke. Evercore cleaned up from 2015 to 2020 for midstream.

Jefferies was irrelevant in midstream then - can only name 2 deals they did in that time frame and they were subpar assets

The Houston banks ebb and flow. Evercore *was* one of the top tier of Houston banks not too long ago, but honestly haven't seen them get anything across the finish line in the upstream space over the last 18 months. RBC and Jefferies are pretty much running things at the moment (RBC just announced a sell-side and buy-side within two week of each other, Jefferies had the Midland triplets and DBR deal). Not sure what's brewing at EVR at the moment, and I'm sure they'll be back, but for now they don't have a whole lot going on.
