Friend got 70k offer + signing + 10/15k expected eoy bonus (NYC b4 last year)
I’ve heard EY pays 100k base for the analyst level. I’m guessing your friend is at one of the other three?
$70k is a typical An1 base, good luck getting a bonus above 50% of salary, needs to be a complete blowout year for that to happen. VPs are paid less than the new street As1 base of $175k, so the comp disparity does not get better with seniority. Good place to start an IB career and gain experience if you have no other options but they definitely pay way below street. Prior to the salary bumps across the street Big4 were essentially bottom of the pay scale but now they aren't even competitive. One benefit of Big4 though is the endless resources, at the end of the day these firms are billion dollar corporations so there are perks worth considering beyond comp.
This is completely wrong. Base is $100K for Deloitte DCF.
Last time I checked there were 4 Big4 and I used to work at one of them in CF. Deloitte is only one of them an OP didn't specify.
Can confirm another was $100K base last year and $110K base this yeasr
The $100k number is way over what they're paying at PWC/KPMG/EY. No clue about Deloitte.
$70-75k plus small bonus (20k).
Job should be viewed as a good entry level job that will def help to break into banks, so i wouldn't stress too much. Look to lateral after a year
