Blacklisted for reneging?

Several months ago, I accepted and then reneged on an offer from a MM bank primarily because I wasn't sure what I had wanted to do and thought other paths would open up more opportunities down the road.

Ultimately realized that I made the wrong career decision and would like to reapply to that MM bank in the near future. However, given that I reneged on their offer previously, am I basically blacklisted/flagged and will automatically get rejected (regardless of credentials/qualifications)?

Lol of course you are blacklisted... it's pretty hard to get flagged but reneging is one of the few things that will do it.

Do people actually think they can renege with no consequences? If you're at a semi or non-target that bank will often stop recruiting there too. Whatever if you are going down a seriously different path, but you can't pop up at the same bank looking for a job again

Not Op but in a similar predicament. I had declined an offer ( not renege) due to specific employment reasons then had tried excessively to ask and get the offer back weeks later to the point that I annoyed and pissed off the hiring manager (who then told HR).

Am I blacklisted / flagged in this situation? What could I do to have the company give me another shot?

lmao you said it yourself that you annoyed the hr people. ofc you are not welcomed to apply any lre. don’t bother reapplying
