Blackstone Atlanta

Does anybody know how solid the Blackstone Atlanta office is? From what I've gathered it is a fully executional M&A office that focuses on middle market deals. Can anybody detail what the compensation structure is like and if the office has the same exit opportunities presented to them as the other offices?

Pretty sure it's only like 2 guys in that office. South Eastern IB is run mostly by SunTrust and a few other big name boutiques, i.e Edgeview, McColl, Stephens etc.

On their website, it looks like they have 1 Senior MD, 2 MD's and 1 VP (altogether more than Boston it looks like). When I talked with one person they said that if a deal came through the office they were responsible for execution. They have a couple $3bn+ transactions that they list for that office. I can only track down one person that came out of their analyst program and it looks like he's at KKR in Menlo Park. Was hoping to see if anyone knew more people that came through the office and where they wound up.

Small office, 7 people, compensation and exit opps are the same as other offices. Middle market focus is incorrect. Very intense culture is correct, most people do not last very long. Previous analysts who have succeeded are at PIMCO, SAC, and HIG. The office likes to hire from Emory due to the school's b school.
