I'm trying to write my cover letter for Blackstone, but my university's on-campus recruiting website does not mention who to address it to. Should I just start it as "Dear HR Recruiter:"?
Also, my understanding is that boutiques take the cover letter more seriously. Any suggestions on how to make my cover letter stand out?

I always thought "To Whom It May Concern" was a huge no-no when it came to writing letters.
Also, does the fact that it's not a bulge bracket (ie. small firm, so more likely to look at the cover letter) make a difference?
