Blackstone M&A Boston
Does anyone know about the Blackstone Advisory office in Boston?
How many people are there, what is the deal flow, how does it compare to the NYC office?
What are the exit ops if I am planning to go to the HF in 2 years?
Would you take an Analyst position there over elite boutiques like Centerview or Evercore.
Any info is appreciated, Thanks!
Solid group, most of the senior-level folks have wide-range of experience and great backgrounds. Most of their focus is on technology, if that's what you're interested in. I think it's only advisory/restructuring there.
Can't speak for the other firm, but hope this helps.
I know that for BX Atlanta deal flow has been good but analysts have had major trouble getting offers at megafund/MM PE firms. don't know about their luck with hedge fund recruitment
don't know if this applies to BX Boston but I think it's worth mentioning that not all of the regional offices are regarded the same as the NYC one.
I've heard that BX M&A in Boston is a complete sweatshop. Exit opps are good, but not as good as BX M&A in NY (which also has much better hours).
Not sure about Centerview, but I'd probably take EVR M&A NY over BX M&A in Boston.
culture is horrible - no summers have ever returned. definitely would take evr over bx boston.
Culture is definitely horrible but I had the impression senior folks are tough but fair. VPs... well that's another story
Thanks everyone who replied! Anymore opinions on the subject?

Hi,
Does anyone know much about Blackstone's M&A group in Boston. Do they specialize in any one industry, say pharma/biotech, because of their location?
Also, is anyone interviewing with Morgan Stanley's Healthcare IBD in Menlo Park?
They're tech M&A. Chris Pasko is based there.
