Crazy how just two companies have nearly half the worlds M&A activity.
Just adding together the top 7 banks gives a market share above 100% so I don't understand the table
Most deals have multiple advisors. GS advised on 24.1% of deals, JPMorgan advised on 21.2% of deals etc.
Large deals often have multiple banks advising on both buy and sell side. For example, a $10bn deal could have GS and Lazard on sell side and JPM on buy side.
