bateman - long time no see. how's the job hunt? enjoying some good time off I hope.

businessgreek - what's your educational background? blue ridge interviewers saw that I'd taken fixed income securities and derivatives, so I got pressed on callable bonds and convertible notes and swaps.

as for the list, i can't imagine anybody who works in finance would tackle that entire list in their lifetime. i am surprised it doesn't include anything by taleb or my favorite, mandelbroit's 'misbehavior of markets'. both would be ideal for behavioral finance.

based on the list, though, they seem to have a penchant for the classics and notable investors. if i had to read one book given what's going on, i'd pick up soros' 'new paradigm for financial markets'.

Tackle that list in a lifetime? I read about 10 of those books in under a year. That really killed my GPA IMO.

the list is definitely doable, but if you're actually working and you still like to read about finance for pleasure - well, hats off to you.

i'd say i've tackled 1/3 of the list - mostly in college. some of it (atlas) was assigned.

still, what do people think of the content and it's applicibility?
