Hope everyone is keeping well and safe. I was just wondering if anyone knows much about BMO's FIG group in NY in terms of deal flow, modelling exposure, and types of mandates (M&A etc..) Would it be possible to jump ship to another bank within a couple months of working there?

Friend of a friend quit after 4-5 months with nothing lined up. He found another IB gig eventually.
Assuming you’re an AN2, I’d be careful about lateraling in and then leaving after a few months because you’ll look like a job hopper. If you’re currently an AN2, negotiate to be promoted to associate in July. I know multiple people who have been able to do that at BMO.
Lots of folks have been able to lateral just fine.
