Budgeting for the Summer

Monkeys,

Help me out with this:

I'll be interning at a small middle market investment bank this summer in Chicago - super amped to be in-person after worrying about COVID would affect things.

Issue is, I do not think the bank is going to provide either housing or dinner stipends for summer analysts. Everything from rent to food to transportation is coming out of pocket.

Obviously, would like to hear about everyone's past experiences with budgeting and staying cost-efficient while living by themselves. Right now, my personal budget including groceries, eating out, entertainment and transportation comes out to be around $150 per week.

Rent is a whole different subject and I haven't thought about wardrobe costs yet.

Anything is helpful! Let me know your thoughts below.
