Build-Your-Analyst

Hello Associates, VPs, and MDs.

If you could “build your own” analyst, what would you “build?”

More so asking in a sense of what would the perfect analyst look like?

And to add, what traits do you see in analysts that could help determine if they will move up the hierarchy?

Just curious to hear thoughts.

Yikes… I am Gen Z. I’ve worked 1 job in the “professional” world (all other jobs have been my own business/family business).

In my experience, never say no lol

 

(1) Never make mistakes

(2) Does not sleep unless told to do so

(3) Never WFH

(4) Always says yes to more work

(5) Can always cover so you can get drunk with friends

(6) Works in the office over the weekend

(7) Knows all workstreams and can answer questions about any work streams

(8) Is able to keep up with sports and can have interesting conversations regardless of the hour

(9) Dedicates his life to the job - orphans preferred

(10) Isn't a pansy (unless I'm telling him to be one)
