Bulge Analysts Bonuses - WTF Are They Already??
i know some people in ny heard theirs already, but i want confirmation.
i'm hearing: - 80k top for JPM second year - 85k top for LAZ second year
come on people - these numbers should be flowing in by now.
my number is coming later this week...
He heard a range of 70-95k there?
I thought Goldman didn't like to pay at the top of the street to analysts?
How does that compare to last year? It's still a ton of money even if its less greedy asholes!
Lots of numbers being tossed around - I've heard around $100 for top boutique in Chicago for a second year. Standard deviation is obviously much higher this year than last - but I would assume down 20% from what your firm payed last year.
I'd be interested to know where you got these numbers, since I believe JPM has not reported yet. I honestly think that everything that's out there now is just speculation - it seems like all the numbers are from a "friend", who is going on what they heard, rather than what they actually got...
Can any actual, current analysts post the dates that their bank reports? Or am I the only analyst on here? I'll start by saying that Citi reports this Thursday and Friday (I get my number Friday, but some are hearing on Thursday). I would have thought that other banks would have reported by now, but I haven't heard any reliable reports that others have, yet...
As far as I know, I won't find out until Thursday/Friday... seems everyone else is the same as well.
So it's all just idle speculation at this point and no one really knows one way or the other. Until I see something in writing from a confirmed source I don't believe any of these numbers. :)
Got paid 90 k last year as a 1yr.
fellow second years are coming out at 75k-80k, confirmed. reviews are today for them.
sucks.
Second years coming out at 75-80k?? So first years should be coming out at 55-70K then?
Ouch, I think that's the ER bonus for 2nd years.
doubt ER is going to pay in that range - bonuses across all divisions should be down
Numbers are flat from last year. Last year got 85K as first year, this year 85k as second. That's my 100% accurate data point.
When second years this year get what first years got last year, that does not mean numbers are flat.
No first year broke 60. 2nd years were at 70 - 80. I am a second yr and was paid 90 last year. As you can imagine im not happy.
What bank do you work at?
But we get paid market. Or at least last year. I havent slowed down much at all year over year.
He was referring to the fact that for second years, they bonuses are flat compared to what they earned last year. Clearly, this also means first years bonuses are decreasing relative to last year.
confirmed right here - 85k top
that is for second years this year... at my bank
How bout some MM numbers?
I guess you guys will find out in a few hours...
Anyone hear anything today?
Updates anyone? I hear tomorrow...
Bump
Rumor that top bucket for 2nd year analysts at Citi is 80k.
85K for second year analyst is what I hear too from another bank. Not going to mention which one but I know which one.

Anyone confirm second year numbers?
Citi 65/53/35/25 leh 65/52/40 JPM 65/55/45
1st yrs, confirmed.
Citi info is incorrect.
65 / 57.5 / i don't know
Agree.
What the hell happens when you fall between there? like i'm in between one of those ranges. How does that "bucket" work?
heard 30 was the low at JPM... 1st years that were let go upon integration of BSC got 25k
65k for top at lehman is spot on : )
anyone have any idea how classes are distributed, say among four/five buckets? i.e. what % fall top, bottom, middle
"heard 30 was the low at JPM... 1st years that were let go upon integration of BSC got 25k"
Where did you hear this from?
does anyone know when salary raises go through for 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd years?
my bonus "session", they told me this weekend they'd raise my salary.
for first years, was the salary bump 5 or 10k?
BB...58-72 1st year...
10k.
Where did second years come in?
What about raises? I was told no raise on base from second to third year - anyonme else get that?
Our raise was pretty good and more than I expected. Almost 20k in dollar terms. Guess that was to compensate for the drop in bonus (exactly 2/3 of 1st year base for 2nd tier out of 3 tiers - well ok there were actually 4 tiers but only 3 go paid, the fourth got fired just in time to not have to pay them...)
Can someone please put together a spreadsheet with what banks gave what this year? Last year there was a very comprehensive one going around but I have not got any this year. (Maybe lack of friends left.)
Wall Street Oasis - considering you guys are supposed to be a finance site for junior bankers and this is pretty much numero uno on the things we care about, don't you think publishing an accurate bonus roundup would be in order?
I'm just saying...
