Business Services Coverage London

2023 IBD SA offer holder at a firm with a large Business Services group. Never considered the sector before, however after some preliminary reading it seems like a sector I'd enjoy. Could anyone add some colour to the best BS teams in London/PE firms focused on the sector/any other info.

Services coverage banker in LDN here. Depends on which type of firm you're looking at (BB vs. EB vs. MM shop). It's a very broad sector so a very large fee pool to go after

In terms of bulge brackets, in the order of scale/fees, it would be BAML, GS, JPM, MS, Citi. DB do some bits and pieces, others (CS, UBS, Barclays) are fairly weak

A few other banks (RBC, Macquarie) have decent coverage teams, but very niche focused and far behind the BBs - they care less about league tables

The strongest EBs are Rothschild and Jefferies. Evercore has an ok team. Moelis are ramping up very fast. PJT/PWP/CVP don't have dedicated coverage so very sporadic presence

In terms of MM "sellside" shops Baird, William Blair, DC Advisory are doing well in this space
