Buy Side out of Undergrad
I'm someone who was hoping to be able to work in Investment Banking after my undergraduate years. But my initial hopes were dashed after not receiving a return offer at my NYC EB after a stint as an SA. I'm now working in Long Only (LO) AM on the buy side in a low cost of living city. I'm encouraged by my new role, but I'm curious what other people think of this move. Does it make sense to start on this part of the buy side out of undergrad?
I'm starting my job mostly with people who are exiting IB? Is anyone currently in IB interested in doing LO? I'm really just curious.
