Canadian going to school in USA

Hey guys, heres a brief history of myself:

  1. I go to school in the US and am graduating Dec. 2016
  2. My plan A is to stay in the US and work, my plan B would be to work back in Canada

I know it's harder for someone like me to get a Visa to work here but my questions are as follows:

-When I'm applying to places that have international branches, should I apply to both US and Canadian branches? Or would this be confusing and maybe make them lean towards giving me the Canadian location?

-If applying to a Canadian firm, should I give them an edited resume which has my Canadian address at the top? (Just so they don't get confused and think I am American)?

The job I am gunning for as my first choice would be IBD.

When applying to Canada I'd give my Canadian address.

I'd also keep it to one location if you can. Canadian firms can be suspicious of applications applying to multiple geographies. If you are applying to US banks that have US and Canadian presence, I think this matters less.

Also, do some homework. Some US firms are growing in Canada while others are retracting. The Big Five Canadian banks have varying degrees of success in the US (RBC and BMO being the strongest by far).
