Career advice Rx consulting
I am currently an analyst at a mid market turnaround / restructuring consulting firm. Came from a target school but not an accounting background. There are a lot of CPAs and ex-audit folks in my group. Rx consulting feels very process driven and accounting heavy. I feel like we are basically called in to create financial reports (13wk, variance, MORs, etc.) and interpret financial information for lawyers without driving change at the company. I want to try something that’s more big picture / strategic in the near future. What are my options? Is Rx banking / banking in general more strategic? Have I not gotten on the right engagements yet?
