Career path : can I go back to buyside IB after shifting to corporate IR
Hello,
I started my career as buyside analyst in an healthcare fund (small size) about 1.5 years ago and just got a job offer as investor relations associate for a top large cap european healthcare company with a fast-growing profile. I feel this is a big opportunity, yet I consider I haven't explored enough of the buyside analyst position as I still have few experience. Do you believe shifting to corporate a early in my career will prevent me from going back to the investment funds later on? Or will it have the opposite effect, help me shifr back to a top asset management company rich from my "corporate insider" experience?
Thank you very much for your insight.
Cheers
