Any help with this guys?? I'll have to make a decision pretty soon and I want to make teh right one ... it is called Corporate Equity Derivatives, or Strategic Equity Solutions..

Our Business The Strategic Equity Solutions Group (‘SESG’) at BofAML covers clients with large, strategic equity stakes in listed companies across the globe. The team focuses on the origination, structuring and execution of financing and risk management transactions, which are executed bilaterally between BofAML and our clients. This includes hedging the stake value against share price decline, yield enhancement (monetisation of volatility) strategies trades, stake building and stake disposal strategies, as well as non-recourse financings secured by the shares.

SESG is one of the most successful teams in the industry – frequently working on high value private transactions that are of core importance to our clients. The position is based in London but the work is of an international nature and the team covers clients in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Latin America. The team are looking to hire one additional analyst who can demonstrate a high level of technical ability, interpersonal skills and the drive to generate continued success for the business.

SESG is part of the broader Equity Capital Markets Group at BofAML, which helps the firm’s global corporate and institutional clients raise equity capital in the public markets, including via initial public offerings, rights offerings, accelerated placements, convertible bonds and other equity-linked structures.

In addition, the team work closely with the Global Markets division to individually price and structure each transaction.

Overview As a Summer Analyst within SESG, you will:

Work as a product specialist alongside Global Investment Banking teams to create and deliver financing and derivative solutions to help the company’s clients manage the life cycle of their listed equity investments Provide market-informed judgments on a broad array of financing strategies to address clients’ specific needs Design detailed presentations for clients to outline highly tailored solutions to their particular situation Work on the modeling and pricing of a broad array of derivatives structures Be involved in the structuring and execution of transactions including negotiation with risk partners, law firms, accountants, custodians etc. Interact with clients as you build your network and experience Help generate ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients through in-depth research, financial modeling and industry analyses Work with traders and structurers in the Global Markets division and liaise with the Global Research division to stay informed on the latest market developments Qualifications Preference for numerically focused degree disciplines such as finance, economics and mathematics Experience (incl. via course work) with derivatives products and pricing is helpful, though not required Excellent academic track record is required Fluency in English required, knowledge of additional European languages is beneficial You'll need to demonstrate a drive to learn, attention to detail and a genuine interest in the financial markets Teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills, plus creativity are key qualities, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and interact with a variety of people
