Most firms have mobility programmes after 2/3 years at the firm. You could lateral firms too to move in London if you wanted to move earlier. I'd recommend this route if you convert FT. You're probably better off doing that as on a € basis you'll earn more given lower costs of living (ie being able to afford a 1bedroom flat as an analyst). Once as an associate you can afford a one bed room in London.
So you're basically talking about Lazard -> Lazard. What about Lazard -> Centerview/PJT/PWP/MS. Would it be feasible without going to MBA and getting in as an associate?
