Charlotte Investment Banking

I'm looking to get into investment banking in Charlotte and would love to get a better picture of the IB scene as many threads are old. Would love to hear more about banks outside of Wells, Jeff, Lazard such as BlackArch, Deloitte Corporate Finance, RJ, Regions... Thanks and any insight helps!

With that said from my research it seems that Charlotte is a big hub for aerospace/defense banking. If I remember the thread I read correctly the biggest players in the game were WF, Baird and maybe one more I can’t remember.

BofA - levfin. group screens heavilly for why Charlotte and why levfin. Very much looking for people with southern ties or you get directed to NYC/looked over. Least hardo in my opinion of the groups I’ve networked with

Jefferies/WB also have tech practices that are fairly strong in addition to A/D (both cross staff with other US offices, Jeff specifically with the TES team in NYC). Both also strong southern culture but have seen them take a few more diverse candidates

Piper - consumer and regal teams but I imagine also a few others

unsure if Truist is still around. Blackarch is the strongest boutique in the city, one of the cofounders is an MD at Blair.
