children of mds/client kids

how do banks deal with these candidates, are they the people getting offers this early because they are prioritized because they have a business relationship with the bank

also are spots put away from them in every class or do they just have a boost on their application and are picked over weaker applicants

Idk if they're intentionally selected because relationships alone, but children of MD's/Clients are going to have a world of access, connections, and/or resources that will allow them to get those sequences of internships before the standard candidate that it ends up being a landslide competition for that penultimate year internship.

basically MD/client kids are connected with a senior banker through their connection (ex: MD covers kids dads company) so it comes down to the power that MD has to get the kid to an interview. The stronger the relationship the harder the MD will push to get the kid through to an offer, but there isnt really any special or expedited process
