Citi CMO or JP IB Risk

I have two offers: one from JPM's risk team and another one from Citi's Capital Markets origination. I am having a tough time choosing. I interened with JPM and I like the culture and I see there is much mobility. However, Citi is offering me a great front office role, but doesn't have much deal flow and has little transferable skills

quant_financeHow is risk front office?

How do you define front office?

Comps? they are about the same as an IB analyst, and with much less hours. Therefore probably higher hourly wage

Client facing? They speak with client all the time!

People? Not sure about JP, but the firm i work for, Risk is the smartest people i know.

quite simply front office means revenue generating. IMO it's irrelevant whether risk has the smartest people - if you want to be with a revenue generating group, go with citi cmo

This is apples to oranges. With Citi CMO, you will be an actual banker. This is not the case with JP Risk Management, though JPM does have a top notch risk management group which can lead to HF opportunities (in risk).

I knew people at both... I'd say go with Citi CMO... its def FO plus you get to work on actual deals... and if you get lucky you can get a role in LevFin
