Citi Corporate Banking Division
Was just wondering if anyone had any information on how Citi’s corporate banking division is structured and what the culture is like there. How does it work in tandem with IB/Cap Markets side? How does it differ? Hours? Pay? Work life balance? Exit ops? Any insight would help.
Bump
Just started a few weeks ago. I'd say work is interesting fifty percent of the times and involves boring tasks related to risk or kyc rest of the times. Good wlb and pay but seems super boring to me.
Anyway, I want to bump this as well to get opinions from more experienced people

What does your typical day/week look like? Is it more modeling/research at the analyst level and then more relationship focused as you progress through the ranks?
modeling experience depends on group, i.e. if you're in a niche group (energy, oil & gas etc.) then you will get modeling experience, but there are also groups that does little to no modeling at all as IB coverage groups typically take care of them. Junior level work is heavily credit related, definitely less technical than IB
